Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
Manage aircraft when at support facilities. Provide technical support and information regarding aircraft operations. Oversight to locate, evaluate and inspect aircraft for possible purchase. Available 24/7 to give ongoing, reliable technical aviation advice to flight crews, aviation personnel, maintenance personnel, and affiliated operations. Regularly assist Upper Management with special tasks and projects as requested. Performs a variety of complex tasks. Participates in 24/7 on call rotating shifts.
OPERATIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
o Schedule and manage outside vendors and personnel performing aircraft inspections, maintenance, repairs and modifications as required by the FAA and DOM. o Provide weekly Aircraft Status Report updates to keep Maintenance Personnel & Flight Operations abreast of scheduled maintenance on all aircraft operated by Charter Jet Transport (CJT) . o Responsible for management of aircraft airworthiness status including oversight of VERYON and Camp systems. o Responsible for scheduling upcoming maintenance events with
DOM, CJT
Flight Department, and outside entities as required. o Continually review and update status of all aircraft components and inspections in VERYON. o Review all maintenance, inspection, and modification documentation for accuracy and completeness using maintenance paperwork flowchart and checklist as a guide. o Must confirm all aircraft times and cycles are accurate and perform maintenance projections monthly and verify scheduled maintenance and flights do not conflict. o Responsible for aircraft airworthiness management regarding; registration, ownership change, LOA’s, RVSM (status & records). Must create and maintain a detailed check list to ensure conformity. o Reviews all maintenance records for conformity with
FAR’s:
Part 91, 135 and CJT policies. o Ensure CJT policies and procedures are followed. o Annually research aircraft operating budgets and submit to Aviation Manager and Compile cost estimates for special projects and notify Aviation Manager of the effect it has on annual aircraft repair and maintenance budget o Attend Department and Company meetings and training classes as needed or requested by management. o Act as Liaison with all non CJT personnel or Approved Maintenance Organizations (AMO’s) performing maintenance on CJT aircraft and represent CJT in aviation maintenance matters with the FAA and contract agencies. o Direct compliance of Minimum Equipment List (MEL) maintenance procedures. o Schedule and establish criteria for annual technical audits of the aircraft airworthiness and report results to the DOM with an explanation of deficiencies found and corrective actions taken.
MANAGEMENT AND SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
o Research and oversee the implementation of all aircraft maintenance operations; including cost estimates for each aircrafts’ maintenance, inspection. and repair costs. o Communicate, schedule, and coordinate with the DOM the priority of projects as directed by CJT management. o Schedule in house and outside maintenance, inspections, modifications, and repairs to aircraft to ensure they are safe and legal for flight. o Act as liaison to Flight Operations to ensure aircraft remain within current FAA Maintenance Regulations. o Review and give approval of invoices submitted to Accounting.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience:
o Associates Degree or equivalent in experience and training. o 6 or more years’ experience in Aircraft and Maintenance Management. o FAA Airframe & Power Plant Certificate IA preferred. o 3+ years in commercial aircraft maintenance management, preferably on Pilatus PC12 fleets.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
o Maintain a broad working knowledge of multiple types of aircraft. o Remain current in aircraft maintenance, safety and certification, procedures and regulations.
Other:
o Must work well with others, as a team and, difficulties and divisions. o Must maintain a good attendance record. o Current Drivers’ License and good driving record. o Must be available by phone and/or text 24/7 when On Call.

WORKING CONDITIONS
o Travel with aircraft for maintenance oversight. o Potential exposure to hazardous materials and chemicals. o Extreme hot and cold outside temperatures. o Extensive mandatory overtime may be required. o Loud Noise
