Position Summary:

Repair and maintain components used for aircraft airframe and powerplant. Inspect aircraft engines, landing gear, instruments, pressurized sections, accessories-brakes, valves, pumps, and air-conditioning systems. Maintain records related to maintenance performed on the aircraft. Mechanics may also repair sheet metal or composite surfaces. Mechanics rely on the pilots’ description of a problem to find and fix faulty equipment Duties and Responsibilities

• Ability to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times
• Knowledge of computers
• General knowledge of federal regulations
• Ability to read and understand blue prints
• Ability to read and understand aircraft wiring diagrams
• Ability to legally operate a motorized vehicle
• Performs routine inspections and troubleshooting, including airframe structures, engines, aircraft system
• Performs all airframe, power plant repairs and modifications required to meet company and FAA requirements
• Removal and disassembly of defective parts; assembly and installation of replacement parts; and testing aircraft system
• Operates all power tools and equipment necessary to accomplish job assignment
• Completes all required maintenance records
• Accurately records time worked on work order
• Interprets technical manuals, drawings and blueprints
• Tows and parks aircraft
• Performs other aircraft maintenance work as may be required

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Qualifications, skills, and abilities:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Possess a Valid A&P License
• Knowledge and Understanding of the English Language
• Excellent Communication Skills
• 1 year of previous line maintenance experience preferred, not Required
• Prefer 737,727 experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Must be able to pass E-verify, FAA records check, and A&P License verification.
• Must have active DOD clearance or able to get clearance.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must possess the ability to: 1. Stand 2. Lie down 3. Kneel 4. Climb stairs, scaffolds or ladders 5. Frequently lift, pull, and hold objects weighing more than 70 pounds 6. Noise and vibration are common when engines are on, so ear protection is necessary.

• Working conditions : A&P Mechanics usually work outdoors, in numerous types of weather. Mechanics often work under time pressure to maintain flight schedules to keep from inconveniencing customers. At the same time, mechanics have a tremendous responsibility to maintain safety standards.
