Job Summary Fleet Mechanic is responsible forservice and maintenance, keeping in good order all Ground ServiceEquipment at a designated station, keeping Swissport Ramp and otherservice agencies safe with reliable equipment that meets all localand governing laws. Your activities Operate and drive alltypes of GSE equipment – motorized and non-motorized. Perform andshow competence in preventive maintenance per established scheduleson all ground support equipment Provide trouble-shooting anddiagnostic assessment of ground support equipment as requiredHydraulic knowledge or basics necessary. Must be willing to learnhydraulic systems Airport deicing training will be required.

Reporting to work during snow, Ice and cold weather required.

Overtime is necessary during weather emergencies Will be workingoutside in all weather conditions year-round Remove malfunctioningground support equipment from service and ensure GSE is notreturned to service until malfunction has been accurately diagnosedand repaired Respond to emergency service calls as well asaccidents involving ground support equipment Complete allmaintenance/repair documentation consistent with carrier, station,airport authority, municipal, state, federal and SP requirementsComply with all federal, provincial, municipal, airport authorityand carrier security requirements Will retain a motor vehicledriver’s license for both air side / non airside in good standingat all times Follow all safety guidelines set out by WCB, EPA,WHIMIS, and SP management Keep GSE shop and its equipment alwaysclean and serviceable, report all deficiencies to management Fuelequipment as necessary with full regard for all safety andenvironmental requirements Will liaison with Ramp management,customers and staff in a professional manner when needed Work as aself-starter and report to shop leads daily Your profile Validdriver’s license Trade school training and or a mechanicalbackground preferred. Good oral and verbal communication skillsGood computer skills. Willing to clean and maintain a safeworkshop.
