Position Summary:
The Experimental Operations Technician supports flight test activities by preparing, inspecting, and configuring aircraft for experimental and certification testing. This includes mechanical and structural work, system troubleshooting, and functional ground testing to ensure aircraft readiness and flight safety. This is a hands-on, team-based role where overtime and weekend support are expected based on flight schedules and project needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform inspections per Engineering Technical Instructions 20% Prepare aircraft for flight (daily inspections, towing,launching/recovering) 20% Perform ground-based functional tests for systems validation 20% Install prototype components and software based on engineering input 20% Remove/install LRUs and components following job cards 10% Support team development and a high-performance work culture 1 0%
Qualifications:
8-10+ years of aviation maintenance experience required A&P License preferred Strong background in mechanical and structural systems Experience with tiltrotor aircraft (preferred) Background in experimental or development aircraft work (preferred) Ability to work all shifts (Day/Swing/Night) Willing to travel for off-site aircraft testing This is a great opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge aerospace programs in a dynamic and rewarding environment.
