Job Title:

Aircraft Structures Mechanic (OCONUS) Must be authorized to work in the US without Sponsorship. Must hold an active security clearance. Job Description We are seeking skilled Aircraft Structures Mechanics to perform O-Level Corrosion control on 5th generation Fighter Jets (F-35 Aircraft). The role involves inspecting and repairing coating systems, coordinating maintenance efforts, and ensuring the timely return of aircraft to mission capable status. Responsibilities Perform Outer Mold Line (OML) inspections, coating system repair, and corrosion control inspections. Coordinate maintenance efforts with the Maintenance Operation Center (MOC) to ensure timely return of aircraft to mission capable status. Plan and coordinate shop workload and dispatch personnel as required. Ensure that assigned personnel have access to and use adequate technical data during all phases of aircraft maintenance. Ensure personnel are trained in and practice good housekeeping, tool control, supply disciplines, FOD awareness/prevention, proper disposal of materials, and safety. Monitor the status of aircraft and coordinate efforts with subordinate personnel and MOC. Monitor QC reports and ensure that corrective measures are implemented to improve maintenance quality and prevent the development of adverse trends. Conduct inspections of aircraft and system maintenance to ensure quality and completeness. Annotate maintenance actions in aircraft records and be proficient in ALIS documentation. Review training products for accuracy and schedule personnel for required training. Assist assigned personnel in researching and requisitioning aircraft parts and components and in determining reparability and serviceability. Review aircraft and equipment records and work cards to ensure required maintenance has been performed, hourly and calendar tracked events are current, and all associated documentation has been completed. Plan and coordinate wash, PMB, and paint schedules. Establish a sound corrosion program and inspect completed work to evaluate employee performance. Essential Skills Experience with F-35, F-22, F/A-18, and F-16 aircraft. Proficiency in corrosion control, riveting, bucking rivets, aircraft maintenance, and aircraft structural repair. Experience in drilling, removing/replacing fasteners, bucking rivets, removing and replacing panels, and replacing gate channels. Experience with CDI/CDQAR, sheet metal repair, and O-Level Maintenance. Current secret clearance. 1+ years of experience on fifth generation fighter jets (F-22/F-35). Structural and corrosion control experience. Additional Skills & Qualifications DD-214 and, if possible, training records/VMAT. 2-3 years of experience for Mechanic 1. 3-5 years of experience for Mechanic 2. 5+ years of experience for Mechanic 3, including CDI and CDQAR (Collateral Duty Inspector) and supervisor experience. Marines are the most desirable candidates, followed by Navy and then Air Force. Why Work Here? Travel is in accordance with S&K travel policy and arranged through your upline and must be preapproved. Use of accrued PTO is allowable to cover the absence, not to exceed two weeks.
