Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for an Aircraft Production Technician to support the Airplane Assist Shop Team based out of North Charleston, South Carolina. Successful candidates will be responsible for performing tasks in the following areas: factory floor, flight line, shop area, at height, confined spaces and others. They must be a dynamic, self-motivated teammate. This position is to support the high demand, critical assist Airplane Assist Shop. The shop supports the 787 program over the entire North Charleston site; working all manner of structural repairs. In addition, the member must be willing to work any shift, especially weekend shift (12hr, Friday through Sunday) based on business needs.
Position Responsibilities :
Develops and implements manufacturing processes Provides concurrent engineering support Defines production activities and resolves problems of limited scope Reviews and approves technical documents Analyzes charging trends and develops projected workforce forecast Assists with the preparation and justification for major capital expenditures and equipment implementation Leads projects and participates in technical research on proposed projects Serves as primary contact with internal customers Translates data into a practical plan for implementation within the organization Compiles and provides management status reports for corrective/preventative action This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.
