Description:

Kelly Engineering is looking for an A&P Technician for its Part 135 and pending Part 145 operation. The technician will perform heavy maintenance on turboprop, small to medium sized corporate, and commuter jets.

Work Activities:

Perform routine and non-routine maintenance Follow all company and maintenance manual procedures Maintain records of maintenance, repairs, inspections, and reports related to parts or services Maintain a clean and neat work area Assist with housekeeping duties as assigned Perform other related duties as assigned

Physical Demands:

Ability to stand, lie, and kneel in awkward positions and spaces Ability to work on scaffolding or ladders Frequently lift and pull objects weighing up to 75 pounds Manual dexterity and physical strength to operate tools and perform repairs Visual acuity to inspect equipment and identify defects Hearing ability to test sounds and assess aircraft function

Required Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent Active Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification from the FAA Minimum 5 years hands-on experience maintaining turboprop and light to medium jet aircraft with strong knowledge of mechanical and flight systems Proficiency in one or more of the following: Basic sheet metal repairs and alterations Reading electrical prints and performing basic electrical troubleshooting Positive attitude and team player; ability to train new or less experienced personnel Proficient in advanced computerized maintenance tracking systems such as CAMP Systems, eBis, and FlightDocs Proficient with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
