Job Description
Fire Suppression Technician Global Fire Protection 211C Palmer Rd, Madison, AL 35758
Responsibilities:
Conduct detailed inspections and routine maintenance of pre-engineered kitchen hood suppression systems. Install new fire suppression systems and components in accordance with all state, local, and national codes. Perform repairs on malfunctioning or damaged systems. Maintain accurate documentation of inspections, maintenance, and repair activities. Ensure all fire suppression equipment meets the required safety standards and operational effectiveness. Educate customers on the proper use and maintenance of their systems. Respond to emergency service calls as required. Work collaboratively with the fire protection team to ensure a high standard of service and safety compliance.
Qualifications:
Preferred but not required: Experience as a Fire Extinguisher Technician preferred. Experience in fire system installation and service, specifically with kitchen hood suppression systems. Fire Suppression License for Pre-Engineered Commercial Hood Systems (preferred). Proficient in the use of power and hand tools. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and customer service skills. High school diploma or equivalent; further technical training in fire protection systems is a plus.
