JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for above ceiling inspections, to include identifying and repairing fire barrier penetrations, electrical deficiencies (missing cover boxes), fire alarm and fire sprinkler deficiencies, etc. Documentation for completing inspections and repairs is required as well. This position requires the individual to be knowledgeable and self-motivated with minimal direct supervision. Perform work as assigned by Life Safety Supervisor.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent required. Healthcare experience preferred, or related field, competent in or knowledge of all aspects of commercial construction to include: fire wall construction, fire proofing installation, fire stop systems, and fire sprinkler requirements, fire alarm systems, etc. Working knowledge of NFPA Codes and The Joint Commission Standards. NFPA 101 and NFPA 99 training preferred. Must have a valid and current state issued driver’s license. Clearance of driving record check; Driving records shall not contain any of the following: a suspended or revoked driver’s license, 3 or more moving violations in the past 36 months, 2 or more accidents in the past 36 months, 1 or more instances of driving under the influence (DUI) or driving while intoxicated (DWI) within the past 24 months, at fault in a fatal accident within the past 5 years, leaving the scene of an accident within the past 36 months, and/or reckless driving within the past 12 months.
