The ideal candidate will have a strong background in alarm systems, fire alarms, and related technologies. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing alarm systems to ensure the safety and security of our clients. The Alarm Technician will work closely with clients to assess their needs and provide tailored solutions, contributing to the overall success of our security services. Duties Install, maintain, and repair various types of alarm systems, including fire alarms and security alarms. Conduct inspections and tests on alarm systems to ensure proper functionality. Collaborate with clients to understand their security needs and recommend appropriate solutions. Read and interpret schematics and technical drawings related to alarm system installations. Ensure compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) standards during installations and repairs. Provide training to clients on the operation of their alarm systems. Assist in system design for new installations based on client specifications. Maintain accurate records of service calls, inspections, and repairs performed. Requirements Proven experience as a service technician in the alarm or security industry. Knowledge of fire alarm systems, fire sprinkler fitting, and construction inspection is preferred. Familiarity with alarm system sales processes and customer service skills. Proficiency in reading schematics and technical documentation related to alarm systems. Ability to use a voltmeter and other diagnostic tools effectively. Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
