Job Summary:

Helpers are responsible for delivering outstanding customer service while assisting technicians with tasks related to the installation, modification, inspection, troubleshooting, servicing and maintenance of assigned systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist technicians with installation, service and trouble shooting of automatic fire sprinkler systems along with all its related equipment.
  • Assist technicians with installation of fire sprinkler systems in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.
  • Learn and use project drawings to interpret installation requirement details and layout accurately and entirely as needed.
  • Learn to thread and groove pipe, cut hanger rods, read blueprints, and use appropriate equipment for any specific jobs such as tools, lifts, etc.

    Qualifications What we are looking for:
  • No prior fire protection experience required, just a demonstrated ability and desire to learn and help
  • Basic understanding of hand tools and power tools
  • Basic understanding of technology, including but not limited to iPhone, iPad and computers.
  • Drug testing/Background check required
  • Display professional appearance.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Professional communication with customers and ability to provide excellent customer service.

  • While performing the essential functions of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands or arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and is occasionally required to lift and/or move heavy objects

  • Comfortable working in various environments, including industrial facilities, commercial buildings and outdoor settings, which can potentially expose employees to noise, dust, heat stress, thermal stress, low light conditions, heights, etc.
  • Capable of standing, walking, bending and kneeling for extended periods
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces as needed, which would require use of fall protection equipment and other safety devices
