The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting various security systems, including alarm systems and surveillance equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of computer hardware, system design, and the ability to interpret schematics. The Alarm Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our clients’ properties. Responsibilities Install and configure alarm systems, including intrusion detection systems (IDS) and surveillance cameras. Conduct regular maintenance checks on existing security systems to ensure optimal performance. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to alarm systems and remote access software. Collaborate with clients to assess their security needs and provide tailored solutions. Interpret technical schematics and documentation to facilitate installations and repairs. Ensure compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) standards during installations. Provide telecommunication support for remote monitoring of security systems. Maintain accurate records of service calls, installations, and repairs performed. Requirements Proven experience as an Alarm Technician or in a similar role within the security industry. Strong knowledge of computer hardware and software related to security systems. Familiarity with NEC standards and regulations pertaining to alarm system installations. Ability to read and interpret schematics for effective system design and installation. Experience with remote access software for monitoring security systems is preferred. Knowledge of various types of security systems, including surveillance cameras and IDS technology. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to detect issues quickly and efficiently.
