The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with gate controllers, door fob systems, gate arms, AVR units, surveillance cameras, and associated network integrations. The position will commence as a part time, but will change to full time shortly. You must have your own car and car costs will be reimbursed.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and troubleshoot gate access systems including gate arms and controllers. Install and program RFID/fob-based door access control systems. Set up and maintain AVR (audio/video receivers) and surveillance camera systems (CCTV/IP). Connect and configure networking components to ensure reliable security system performance. Perform diagnostics and repairs on existing installations. Conduct site surveys to determine system requirements and optimal equipment placement. Interface with property managers, HOA boards, and residents to ensure smooth implementation. Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, serial numbers, and network settings. Ensure compliance with security standards and client specifications.

Requirements:

Proven experience in access control and low-voltage security system installation. Familiarity with HOA and condominium property layouts and common access control challenges. Strong understanding of networking (IP addressing, switches, PoE, routers). Proficient in tools and software related to security hardware configuration. Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally.

Preferred Qualifications:

Licensed Electrician or electrical background preferred . Certifications in low-voltage systems, networking, or security (e.g., CompTIA Network+, ESA, etc.). Experience working with brands like LiftMaster, Doorking, Alocity, Hikvision, Axis, etc. Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
