Fire Alarm and Security Systems Low Voltage Lead Technicians Palmer Electric Company Winter Park, FL 32789 Are you seeking a career and not just a job? Palmer Electric is currently seeking Technicians to be part of our Low Voltage Service Team to support our Fire & Security Business line. As a Fire & Security Technician, you will perform installations, wiring and connectivity for low voltage cables. This position will support our residential and commercial clients in the greater Orlando area. Since 1951, Palmer Electric is the longest continuously operating electrical company in Central Florida. We are Central Florida’s leader in Electrical Services with the experience to provide innovative approaches and solutions to the help with all electrical needs. What will be my responsibilities? Install and troubleshoot CCTV, Burglar Alarm, Nurse Call, & Fire Alarm systems indoors and outside. Be familiar with NFPA 72, common installation methods, and techniques. Examine low voltage systems and their components, diagnose problems, recommend solutions, and implement corrections. Read and interpret specifications, blueprints, work orders, manuals, and written instructions. Comply with prescribed safety procedures. Utilize a variety of power & hand tools and other testing equipment. Work on all types of ladders and operate lifts. What skills are needed for success? High School/GED required. Electrical Vocational Technical training is highly desired. 2+ years of cabling/wiring/IT connectivity experience in a utility, cabling, electrical or IT networking environment. Military experience a plus. Comfortable and enjoys working in a physical role both indoors/outdoors as well as various weather conditions and confined spaces. Ability to lift materials weighing about 50 pounds. Team player who is reliable and dependable along with a strong worth ethic and a can- do attitude. Driver’s license in good standing.
