Position Summary:
Blueprint Fleet Outfitting is looking for a motivated Low Voltage Technician I to join our growing team. This is an entry-level position focused on learning the fundamentals of emergency and specialty vehicle outfitting. You’ll work directly under senior technicians to gain hands-on experience with wiring, component installation, and system integration for police, fire, and utility fleet vehicles. Key Responsibilities:
Assist with the installation of emergency lighting, sirens, radios, push bumpers, partitions, and other vehicle accessories. Support senior technicians with vehicle prep, harness routing, fuse tap identification, and tool setup. Learn proper wiring techniques, including soldering, heat-shrinking, loom application, and safe power sourcing. Maintain clean, organized workspaces and follow all shop safety procedures. Perform basic quality checks and assist with post-install testing. Accurately document build progress and report any issues to your lead tech. Grow toward taking on more complex tasks as skill and reliability increase.
Qualifications:
Mechanical aptitude and genuine interest in vehicle systems or electronics. Basic familiarity with hand tools and power tools (drills, multimeters, strippers, etc.). Willingness to learn and follow direction without cutting corners. Able to lift 50+ lbs, bend, crawl, and work inside vehicles for extended periods. Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and team-first mindset. High school diploma or GED preferred. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
