Overview
We are seeking an Entry-Level Fire Systems Technician for assignment in Atlanta, Georgia. The selected candidate will provide critical testing, inspection, servicing, preventive maintenance and repair services to our client.
Hours are Monday
- Friday, 6:00am
- 2:00pm
- This is a 1st Shift position
- This position has a pay rate of $19
- $24/hr
- Responsibilities
- Completes testing, inspection, servicing, preventative maintenance and repair of all equipment associated with fire suppression systems (wet, dry, pre-action and deluge)
- Responds to and reports the location of fire alarms; performs preventative maintenance on the fire systems
- Works under direct supervision and completes work consistent with NFPA, state of Georgia, city of Atlanta Fire Marshall and client requirements
- Conducts performance tests on facility wet, dry, pre-action and deluge systems and records work order information on work performed in the Hexagon Enterprise Asset Management System
- Uses, cares for and is responsible for tools and equipment used to complete the testing, inspections, servicing, preventative maintenance and repairs to fire suppression systems
- Supports the work of outside contractors as required by to maintain the operations of the fire suppression systems
Qualifications - High School Diploma or GED
- A valid Drivers License
- 1+ year of experience working in the testing, inspection, servicing, preventative maintenance and repair of fire alarm and fire suppression systems (wet, dry, pre-action and deluge)
- Ability to cut, thread and hang 1″ to 8″ sprinkler pipe; install new or replace various types of existing sprinkler heads
- Basic knowledge of gauges, valves, modules, motors, accelerators, compressors, etc.
