Full Job Description Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a qualified and motivated Kitchen Fire Suppression System Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting, testing, maintaining, and repairing kitchen fire suppression systems in commercial kitchens in accordance with NFPA codes and local regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine inspections, testing, and maintenance on pre-engineered kitchen fire suppression systems (e.g., Ansul, Kidde, Pyro-Chem, etc.). Diagnose and repair system deficiencies or malfunctions. Ensure all work is compliant with NFPA 17/17A, manufacturer specifications, and local fire codes. Complete service reports and documentation accurately. Communicate with customers and explain inspection findings and required repairs. Coordinate with other fire protection services (e.g., alarm, sprinkler, extinguisher teams) as needed. Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean service vehicle.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certifications preferred. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. State license/certification for kitchen suppression systems (where applicable). NICET certification (preferred but not required). Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks. Good customer service and communication skills.
