What youwill do As a critical part of the team, the Commercial Installerworks onsite with our commercial customers to set up and programtheir Integrated Security, Access Control CCTV, Fire Alarm andSecurity Systems. The Commercial Installer also dismantles andreconstructs equipment when necessary. How you will do it Installsappropriate devices; dismantles and reconstructs equipment asrequired by customer or Tyco Integrated Security. Works safely andresponsibly to avoid injuries, damage to property, loss of unusedmaterials and cleans up installation debris. Adheres to safetystandards and local and national codes, with a high degree ofregard to employee and subcontractor safety. Maintains appropriatelocal and National Fire / Security Industry Certifications.
Communicates with customer upon arrival and before leaving the worksite. Continuous proactive customer interactions including anin-depth understanding of customer(s) needs wants and systemscurrently in place. Contacts customers prior to the date ofscheduled installation to verify schedule. Prepares estimates inaccordance with prescribed instructions or directions ofsupervisor. Follows proper schematic wiring diagrams and hook-upprocedures. Assists in monitoring project execution per plan.
Reports problems or changes to supervisor or management. Test’soperation of system to the signal-receiving center to properlyestablish service. Reads building, electrical and sprinklerblueprints as required. Coordinates installations with police/firedepartments and handles necessary records for notification ofemergency calls. Completes paperwork and on-site documentation asrequired. Performs self-study (reading, research, and practice) toobtain technical proficiency on required products and application.
Performs other duties as assigned May manage installation teams onlarger projects. Coach and mentor less experienced installers.
Travel required, using provided company vehicle and equipment.
Required Home Office will be Westbrook, Maine Must have State ofMaine Master Limited Energy License Must have a minimum of 5 YearsCommercial Installation experience. Electrical and electronicequipment experience with demonstrated mechanical aptitude. Willtrain apprentices as required. Ability to read blueprints andschematic drawings. Ability to operate hand and power tools.
Ability to always operate fleet vehicle in a safe manner. Abilityto communicate and provide excellent customer service. Advancedcomputer skills required. No fear of heights No Color BlindnessAbility to accurately read a tape measure. Ability to stand, kneel,drive for extended periods of time. Travel is required – MA, NH andMaine – some overnight and weekends may be required with noticeAttention to detail. Able to explain technical information tonon-technical people. Valid Driver’s license with a clean record. ABackground Check and Pre-Employment Drug Test is Required.
