Position Summary This position is a critical role within our organization, responsible for maintaining and enhancing the security of our physical security infrastructure. Examples of these systems include badge access systems, surveillance cameras, police arrest records systems, and infant security systems within the hospitals. This role requires an understanding of security systems, technical skills, and experience in a healthcare environment.

Responsibilities include:

Perform regular software updates and patch management for physical security application servers, ensuring that all systems are up-to-date and protected against known vulnerabilities.
Work closely with IT and police teams to ensure the integration and alignment of physical and cybersecurity measures, contributing to the overall security posture of the organization.
Respond promptly to service requests and incidents related to physical security systems, providing efficient and effective solutions to minimize downtime and disruption.
Conduct regular system checks and preventative maintenance to identify potential issues before they arise and ensure the optimal performance of all security systems.
Document all activities, including system updates, incidents, and preventative measures, to support compliance, auditing, and continuous improvement efforts. Minimum Requirements High School Diploma (or equivalent) or higher
Vendor certifications for relevant systems should be obtained within 6 months of hire.
3 – 5 years required in physical security system management or implementation.
Experience working with project teams to design and implement new solutions.
Experience working in team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Independently motivated to seek knowledge in areas pertaining to their current position.
Self-educates and seeks knowledge from management of ECU Health, Information Services environment and ECU Health operations relevant to their position.
Must be able to read a packet capture.
Must maintain current knowledge, skill set, and certification (where applicable) for supported applications. Preferred Requirements Knowledgeable of security equipment systems
Capable of installing and maintaining various alarms, (i.e., intrusion detection, CCTV, and access control)
Ability to work in confined spaces, climb ladders, stand for extended periods, work extended hours, and travel independently
Experience with installation and repair of commercial alarm, card access systems, and CCTV systems;
