North Carolina Position Title:
Fire & Security Alarm Technician Shift:

1st – Monday to Friday; 7:30 AM – 5:00

PM Pay:

$18-24/hour based on experience

Location:
Greensboro, NC Travel:

Service calls across North Carolina; occasional overnight travel (2-3 times per month). Includes $50/night per diem, hotel covered, and paid travel time. No weekend work. We are actively recruiting experienced Fire Alarm & Security Service Technicians to support our Security, CCTV, and Access Control Division. This is a field-based role, requiring travel throughout North Carolina to respond to service calls. This is not a trainee position – we are seeking skilled professionals with a strong background in fire alarm systems and security equipment, capable of handling everything from installation to troubleshooting and integration. Key Responsibilities:

Perform service calls & annual inspections for small commercial fire alarm and security systems across the state of NC. Install, troubleshoot, and service fire alarm systems, including: Farenhyt Silent Knight Fire Lite Honeywell Vista (Experience with other fire alarm panels is also valuable.) Connect wiring to panels and power supplies, pre-address devices, troubleshoot circuits, program systems, and pretest. Walk tests and final tests with fire marshals or inspectors. Provide end-user training. Commission and troubleshoot networked and standalone fire alarm systems, security systems, and emergency communication setups. Conduct security assessments and recommend improvements. Install and maintain security infrastructure including CCTV, access control, and alarm systems. Investigate incidents and generate detailed reports. Collaborate with emergency responders and law enforcement as necessary. Provide in-house training on security and emergency response protocols.

Qualifications:

Minimum 2-3 years of experience in the fire alarm industry.

Familiarity with:

o Electrical systems and schematics o NEC codes o Fire alarm inspection and testing o Construction and low-voltage wiring Proficient in tools of the trade and industry standards. Excellent problem-solving, independence, and communication skills. Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in the field.

Job Types:
