The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of alarm systems, ensuring that all systems are functioning correctly and meet safety standards. This role requires NCBEEC license, Burglary certification, and Fire Alarm certification. Along with a strong mechanical knowledge, familiarity with fire alarm sales and service technician duties. The Lead Alarm Technician will play a crucial role in enhancing the safety and security of both commercial and residential properties. Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair alarm systems including fire alarms, security alarms, and monitoring systems. Conduct thorough inspections of alarm systems to ensure compliance with safety regulations. Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to understand system designs. Utilize tools such as voltmeters to diagnose issues within alarm systems. Collaborate with clients to assess their needs and provide tailored solutions for alarm system installations. Perform construction inspections to ensure that installations meet industry standards. Detect potential issues in existing systems and recommend necessary upgrades or repairs. Maintain accurate records of service calls, installations, and inspections. Ability to install and connect other various low voltage products. Requirements Proven experience as an Alarm Technician or in a similar role within the security or construction industry. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various alarm system components. Familiarity with NEC (National Electrical Code) regulations as they pertain to alarm system installations. NCBEEC license, Burglary certification, and Fire Alarm certification. Experience in fire alarm sales is a plus but not required. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
