Access Control Technician StellaMSP Vineland, NJ 08360 Overview The Access Control Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring the security and integrity of facilities by managing and maintaining access control systems. This position involves the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of various access control technologies, including surveillance systems and fire alarms. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background and be proficient in using power tools and low voltage systems. Duties Install, configure, and maintain access control systems, including card readers, biometric scanners, and electronic locks. Conduct regular inspections of surveillance equipment to ensure optimal functionality. Utilize remote access software for monitoring and managing access points. Troubleshoot issues related to fire alarm systems and coordinate necessary repairs. Collaborate with service technicians to perform maintenance on low voltage systems. Build and modify access control hardware as needed to meet specific security requirements. Ensure compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) standards during installations and repairs. Maintain accurate records of system installations, repairs, and maintenance activities. Skills Proficient in the use of power tools for installation and repair tasks. Strong understanding of surveillance technologies and their applications in security systems. Experience with remote access software for system management. Knowledge of fire alarm systems and their integration with access control technologies. Familiarity with low voltage electrical systems and components.
