Full Job Description Summary:
We are seeking an experienced low voltage system technician. Seeking proficiency and knowledge of fire alarm, access control, cameras, security systems, intercoms, electronic door hardware, basic construction.
Responsibilities:
Work on construction sites in all phases from roughing cable installation, installing devices, and programming systems. Read and interpret blueprints and schematics for accurate installations. Test systems, diagnose issues, troubleshoot and fix problems, deliver completely installed and working systems. Always follow safety protocols and requirements. Communicate with team members on progress of jobs. Complete assigned service calls in a timely manner, complete paperwork related to service call, and be professional at all times with customers.
Preferred skills:
Understanding of low voltage electrical systems, including wiring , circuits , and components Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics Knowledge of different types of low voltage cabling (e.g., ethernet, coaxial) Familiarity with installation techniques for various low voltage devices System testing and troubleshooting skills Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and team members Attention to detail to ensure accurate installations Problem-solving abilities to diagnose and resolve system issues Ability to work independently and as part of a team Adaptability to new technologies and changing industry standards Understanding and following electrical safety codes and regulations Proper use of safety equipment Awareness of potential hazards associated with low voltage systems Must have a clean NYS driver’s license, able to lift up to 75lbs., climb a ladder, be dependable, and have good communication skills.
