Full Job Description Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Low Voltage Installer with expertise in fire alarms and security systems installation. The ideal candidate should be proficient in reading blueprints and possess hands-on experience in configuring, installing, and maintaining low voltage systems.

Responsibilities:

Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain low voltage systems including fire alarms and security systems. Follow blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to ensure proper installation and configuration. Mount and install control panels, sensors, detectors, cameras, and other components as per project requirements. Test and verify system functionality and performance post-installation. Program and integrate various system components to ensure seamless operation. Collaborate with project managers, electricians, and other team members to ensure projects are completed on time and within specifications. Provide technical support and training to customers as needed. Adhere to safety protocols and regulations throughout all stages of the installation process.

Requirements:

Proven experience (5 years) as a Low Voltage Installer, with a focus on fire alarms and security systems. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. Strong understanding of low voltage electrical systems and components. Familiarity with industry codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., NEC, NFPA). Ability to use hand and power tools effectively and safely. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Effective communication skills and the ability to work well independently and as part of a team. Certification or licensure (if applicable) in low voltage systems installation preferred. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
