Primary Responsibilities:

Working knowledge of sprinkler controls, alarm panels, devices and critical components. Able to perform inspection and maintenance according to codes and standards. Able to complete sprinkler inspection documentation. Able to coordinate between inspection deficiencies and service required to correct found deficiencies. Must be able to schedule and coordinate with building supers/porters. Must be able to perform hydrostatic testing on fire department siamese connections Must be able to perform fire pump tes Must travel to customer locations, thoroughly install devices, and program all fire alarm panels. Responds to emergency situations during and after hours for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns. Respond to maintenance calls, troubleshooting devices, and using device manuals to repair non-functioning fire alarms and restore them to original functionality or replace them if necessary. Instruct customers on proper device use and maintenance measures. Ensure that the devices installed meet all local and federal laws and building codes. Provides service reports at each service location, completing all necessary paperwork with the client.

Basic Qualifications:

3 Years of practical experience as a fire alarm technician. Knowledge of all fire safety codes and regulations. Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Must maintain an excellent driving record, maintain vehicle and vehicle inventory, and comply with company vehicle policy. NICET I Certification is

PREFERRED

but not required. Able to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds alone, 100 pounds with assistance, and work from heights above 10 feet, and work in confined areas Able to stand for long periods of time and to lift, crouch, reach, handle, push, and pull. Able to work in extremely cold and extremely hot temperatures. Able to work while exposed to loud sounds and noise levels
