Fire Alarm Technician D & H Electronic Systems, Inc. Nashville, TN 37215 Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Low Voltage Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing low voltage systems, including fire alarm, security systems, audio/video systems, and telecommunications equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems and the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively in the field. Responsibilities Install and configure low voltage systems according to specifications and schematics. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on existing equipment to ensure optimal performance. Utilize hand tools and testing equipment such as Ohmmeters and Voltmeters to diagnose issues. Provide field service support, addressing customer inquiries and resolving technical problems on-site. Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and within deadlines. Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports and inventory logs. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in low voltage technology. Skills Proficient in equipment repair and maintenance of low voltage systems. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read and interpret schematics. Experience with computer hardware and networking principles is preferred. Familiarity with hand tools and testing instruments used in low voltage applications. Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
