We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Cable Technician to join our growing Telecommunications team and support our clients’ network infrastructure across the Greater Nashville Area. Position Overview As a Cable Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting low-voltage systems, including CAT6 cabling, security systems, and telecommunications infrastructure. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our clients’ network systems. Key Responsibilities Pull, run, and terminate CAT6 cables for data and power distribution. Install, maintain, and repair low-voltage electrical systems in commercial settings. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams. Install and program security systems, A/V systems, and telecom equipment. Test and troubleshoot cabling systems to ensure optimal performance. Ensure all installations comply with local and national electrical codes. Collaborate with clients and project teams to implement network solutions. Maintain accurate documentation of installations, repairs, and configurations. Provide excellent customer service and support during and after installations. Participate in on-call rotations for after-hours emergency support as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical certification preferred. 1+ years of experience in low-voltage/electrical systems in commercial environments. Proven experience with CAT6 cable installation and termination. Familiarity with network cabling hardware and installation techniques. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and blueprints. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Preferred Skills Knowledge of local and national electrical codes and regulations. Experience with security systems, fire alarms, and A/V installations.
