Job Summary:
As a Fire Alarm Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire alarm systems in various settings, ensuring compliance with safety codes and regulations. Your role is crucial in safeguarding lives and property by ensuring that fire alarm systems are functional and effective.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation:
Install fire alarm systems in buildings according to blueprints, design specifications, and manufacturer’s instructions. Mount control panels, detectors, annunciators, and other system components as per layout plans.
Testing and Maintenance:
Conduct regular inspections and testing of fire alarm systems to ensure they are operational and meet safety standards. Test circuits, sensors, and other system components to identify faults and ensure proper functioning. Perform preventive maintenance tasks to keep systems in good working condition.
Repairs and Troubleshooting:
Diagnose and repair malfunctioning fire alarm systems promptly to minimize downtime. Replace defective components and ensure proper calibration and operation of alarms.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of installations, inspections, maintenance, and repairs. Prepare reports detailing findings and actions taken during inspections and repairs.
Compliance and Safety:
