The ideal candidate will have a strong background in auto body repair and painting, with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. This role involves working with various tools and equipment to restore vehicles to their original condition, ensuring high-quality workmanship and safety standards. Must be willing to be cross trained in other departments. Good attendance is mandatory. Duties Perform auto body repairs on damaged vehicles, including frame straightening and panel replacement. Minimum of 1 year recent experience Sands and prepares modular box, applies bondo compound, smoothing, grind and sand areas to develop a smooth paintable finish. All prep work for painting Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various repair tasks. Conduct auto glass replacements and repairs as needed. Work on various vehicle makes and models Prepare vehicles for painting by sanding, masking, and applying primer. Familiarity with soldering techniques for metalwork is preferred Collaborate with team members to assess repair needs and provide solutions. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients about repair processes and timelines. Skills Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools specific to auto body repair. Prior experience in auto body repair is a MUST! Strong mechanical knowledge related to vehicle systems and components. Experience with auto body repair techniques Excellent customer service skills, demonstrating professionalism in all interactions. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail, ensuring high-quality workmanship in all repairs and finishes.
