The ideal candidate will be responsible for repairing and restoring vehicles to their original condition following accidents or damage. This role requires a keen eye for detail, technical expertise, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. The Auto Body Technician will work closely with customers to ensure their needs are met and that they are satisfied with the repairs. Duties Assess vehicle damage and determine necessary repair procedures. Perform body repairs using techniques such as welding, soldering, and sheet metal work. Utilize power tools and equipment to repair or replace damaged parts. Conduct auto estimating to provide accurate quotes for repairs. Prepare vehicles for painting by sanding, masking, and priming surfaces. Apply paint and finish to vehicles ensuring a smooth and professional appearance. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects. Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repair processes and timelines. Skills Strong customer service skills to interact positively with clients. Proficiency in sheet metal repair techniques and auto estimating. Experience working in a dealership environment is preferred. Ability to weld and solder effectively for various repair tasks. Capability of performing heavy lifting as required during repairs. Knowledge of auto painting techniques and materials. Familiarity with power tools commonly used in auto body repair.
