Job Description
Gel Coater / Auto Body Painter Monterey Boats 1579 SW 18th St, Williston, FL 32696 Monterey & Blackfin Boats is currently recruiting an experienced Gel Coater to work on fiberglass boats. This is a 4 day/ 10 hour shift from 11:00PM – 9:45AM Sunday – Wednesday. Auto Body paint experience usually translated well to this job. Experienced Gel Coater Minimum 1 year experience. Performs in mold application of gel coat on decks, hulls, liners, and small parts. Has a working knowledge of gel coat spray equipment, tip sizes, pump pressures and catalyst ratios. Must test gel coating spray equipment to make sure it is operating properly. Must be detailed oriented, quality minded, able to follow specific application procedures. Must be able to read work orders and fill out process document sheets for gel coat color application. PPE respirator required, must pass a pulmonary test. Other PPE required safety glasses gloves, Tyvek suits. Reliable transportation and good attendance is extremely important. Physical requirements, you will be required to lift, pull push, bend, squat, climb. A gel coater must be able to hold a spray gun for extended periods of time while gel coating parts. Overtime may be required to meet production requirements.
