About This Opportunity FD Recon is actively seeking experienced Body Technicians ( full or part-time ) with ASE and/or I-Car Platinum certifications (preferred) who demonstrate exceptional technical prowess, meticulous attention to detail, and a dedication to quality. Our ideal candidates are committed to restoring each vehicle to its pre-accident state or exceeding it. Job Description As a technician, you play a vital role in the smooth operation of our body shop. Your duties encompass a vital part of the repair process, starting from the initial assessment and continuing through to the final department quality checks. Your main objective is to ensure that repairs are carried out correctly, adhering to OEM/Industry Standard Guidelines. As an indispensable member of our collision team, the repairs you undertake reflect our company’s commitment to delivering exceptional quality and service. What You Will Do Actively contribute to the precision of initial estimates, recognizing that accuracy at this stage directly impacts workload and repair process efficiency. Disassemble, repair, and reassemble each vehicle, ensuring all necessary repairs adhere to I-Car, industry standard guidelines/OEM specifications, and company standards. Ensure all assigned tasks, particularly reassembly and teardowns, adhere to company standards while maintaining strict adherence to quality benchmarks. Engage in daily reviews with the collision team to assess the status of assigned vehicles, identifying potential obstacles or inefficiencies in the repair process. Embrace a “repair first” approach to optimize cycle times and repair severity, consistently delivering high-quality work output. Stay abreast of industry standards (I-Car/ASE) and the company’s latest developments. Adhere to all safety protocols without exception. What You’ll Bring Proficient in heavy collision repair, with expertise in door skin repairs. Comprehensive knowledge of automotive repair processes, tools, and technologies, enabling precise execution of complex repairs. Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring all repairs meet or surpass original factory specifications and safety protocols. Strong problem-solving abilities, adept at identifying and tackling repair challenges proactively. Effective communication skills for seamless coordination with management, parts managers, and fellow technicians, fostering clarity and efficiency throughout the repair process. Adaptive mindset to accommodate changing workflows, fellow repair technicians, and technological advancements in automotive repair. Preferred

I-CAR/ASE

Certification; familiarity with CCC software is advantageous. Ownership of personal tools is required. Possession of a valid driver’s license, along with successful completion of drug tests and background checks, is mandatory.
