- Overview
- We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Shop Technician to join our team. This role involves hands-on work in a dynamic shop environment, where you will be responsible for assembling, welding, and performing various repair tasks.
- Duties
- Assemble and disassemble heavy duty truck components as needed
- Perform welding and soldering tasks to repair or fabricate parts
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify issues and recommend solutions
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle needs
- Utilize estimating software to prepare accurate cost assessments for repairs
- Handle heavy lifting as required during repairs and assembly tasks.
- Requirements
- Proven experience in collision repair or related fields is preferred
- Strong skills in welding and soldering techniques are essential
- Familiarity with auto estimating processes is a plus
- Experience with airless paint spraying is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly with clients and team members
- Possess good decision making ability
- Ability to follow verbal and written work instructions
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Perform light non-structural repairs
