The ideal candidate will have a strong background in auto body repair and restoration, demonstrating proficiency in various techniques and tools. The Auto Body Technician will be responsible for repairing and restoring vehicles to their original condition, utilizing both manual skills and power tools. Responsibilities Perform auto body repairs including dent removal, panel replacement, and frame straightening. Utilize power tools and welding equipment to repair damaged vehicle structures. Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to assess damage and determine necessary repairs. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining quality standards. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repair processes and timelines. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks as needed, ensuring all repairs meet dealership standards. Requirements Proven experience in auto body repair, preferably in a dealership or automotive shop setting. Proficiency in using power tools, welding equipment, and other necessary machinery for auto body work. Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and restoration techniques. Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks associated with auto body repair. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients about repair needs and processes. Familiarity with sheet metal work is a plus; experience in mechanic duties is also beneficial. A valid driver’s license is required; additional certifications related to auto body repair are preferred.
