The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and vehicle maintenance, with the ability to perform high-quality repairs on various types of vehicles. This role requires attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and the capability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Prepare vehicles for a paint job by performing thorough sanding, masking, and priming procedures, ensuring smooth and flawless surfaces. Inspect vehicles to identify imperfections, scratches, or dents that require repair or attention. Using appropriate tools and paint sprayer equipment to perform necessary repairs and adjustments. Utilizing paint tools and techniques for a paint job such as a spray gun, paint thinner, epoxy primer, clear coat, new paint, heavy paints, remove paint and old paint, entire vehicle, etc. Using a process for vehicle primer, block sand, body filler, filler material, sandpaper grit, masking tape, etc. Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and customers to ensure a seamless workflow and customer satisfaction. Experience High school diploma or equivalent. Proven experience as an auto body prepper, automobile prepper, paint prepper, or in a similar role within the automotive collision repair industry. Strong attention to detail and ability to identify imperfections or flaws in surfaces. Proficient in using various tools and equipment required for auto body preparation. Ability to work independently or as part of a team, managing time effectively and meeting deadlines. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong work ethic and commitment to delivering high-quality results.
