The ideal candidate will have a strong background in auto body repair and maintenance, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. This role requires proficiency in using various power tools and equipment, as well as a keen eye for detail to ensure high-quality repairs. The Auto Body Technician will be responsible for restoring vehicles to their pre-accident condition while adhering to safety standards and company policies. Duties Perform auto body repairs including dent removal, frame straightening, and panel replacement. Utilize power tools and equipment for efficient repairs. Conduct auto glass replacements and repairs as needed. Carry out vehicle maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance. Collaborate with team members to assess damage and develop repair plans. Provide accurate auto estimating for repair costs and timeframes. Utilize airless paint spraying techniques for refinishing vehicles. Demonstrate mechanical knowledge by identifying issues and troubleshooting effectively. Assist with heavy lifting of parts and materials during the repair process. Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency. Qualifications Proven experience in auto body repair or related field is preferred. Proficiency in using power tools, including welding equipment and airless paint sprayers. Knowledge of vehicle maintenance processes and procedures. Familiarity with dealership environments is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as required by the job. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to solder when necessary. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
