Auto Body Repair Technician Fishkill Auto Body, Inc. Beacon, NY 12508 Overview We are seeking a skilled Autobody Repair Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair, demonstrating proficiency in various techniques and tools necessary for high-quality vehicle restoration. This role requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while ensuring customer satisfaction through meticulous workmanship. Duties Candidate needs experience in ALL of the following: Assessing/disassembling damaged vehicle parts safely & efficiently. Reassembling painted vehicles & parts, ensuring proper alignment, fitment & function. Reporting parts/equipment problems or failures propmptly to the writer. Filing dents with bondo or other fillers & sanding to a smooth finish (a plus, but not necessary). Utilize hand tools and equipment to repair, fabricate, and weld components as needed (a plus, but not necessary). Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining high-quality standards. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in automotive repair techniques. Qualifications Proven experience in auto body repair or a related field is

REQUIRED.

Proficiency with hand tools & welding equipment. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability & drive to troubleshoot and solve problems effectively. Experience with automotive repair processes, including soldering and fabricating components. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment. A valid driver’s license is required; additional certifications in automotive repair are a plus.

Physical Requirements:

Standing & walking regularly. Stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, squatting and climbing frequently. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Manual dexterity is essential. Repetitive motion tasks are likely. Use of protective equipment is required.
