Auto Body Painter Fine Line Auto Body 610 Oak Street, Copiague, NY 11726 Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Auto Body Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in auto body repair, ensuring that vehicles are restored to their original condition. This role requires proficiency in various techniques, including welding, buffing, and the use of power tools. The Auto Body Technician will work closely with other team members to deliver high-quality results while adhering to safety standards. Responsibilities Perform auto body repairs on vehicles, including frame straightening and panel replacement. Utilize airless paint spraying techniques to apply finishes and ensure a smooth appearance. Conduct thorough inspections of damaged vehicles to assess repair needs and provide accurate auto estimating. Execute buffing processes to restore vehicle surfaces to their original shine. Use power tools effectively for various repair tasks while maintaining safety protocols. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs and customer satisfaction. Participate in auto restoration projects as needed, demonstrating craftsmanship and attention to detail. Assist in heavy lifting tasks related to vehicle parts and equipment as required. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in auto body repair techniques. Proficiency in airless paint spraying and buffing methods for vehicle finishing. Experience with welding processes for metal repairs and fabrication. Ability to perform accurate auto estimating for repair costs and timeframes. Familiarity with using power tools safely and effectively in an automotive environment. Capability for heavy lifting, ensuring proper handling of vehicle parts and materials. Previous experience working in a dealership setting is a plus, enhancing understanding of industry standards.
