Lakeland Avenue, Ronkonkoma, NY 11779 Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Auto Body Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for automotive repair and restoration, with expertise in a variety of techniques and tools necessary for high-quality auto body work. This role involves repairing damaged vehicles, ensuring they meet safety standards, and restoring them to their original condition. Responsibilities Perform auto body repairs on vehicles, including frame straightening and panel replacement. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to execute repairs and modifications. Conduct auto painting tasks to restore the vehicle’s appearance and protect against corrosion. Fabricate parts as needed using sheet metal techniques to ensure proper fit and function. Execute welding tasks to reinforce structural integrity of repaired areas. Assess damage and prepare detailed estimates for repair work required on vehicles. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining high-quality standards. Requirements Proven experience in auto body repair, with a strong understanding of various repair techniques. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively. Experience in auto painting is highly desirable. Ability to lift heavy materials and equipment as needed during the repair process. Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills. Effective communication skills to interact with team members and clients professionally. A valid driver’s license is preferred but not mandatory.
