Intermodal Mechanic Instructor:
+ Deliver student-centered, hands-on instruction using approved curriculum + Mentor and guide students in learning to inspect, repair, and maintain essential intermodal equipment + Teach real-world skills including troubleshooting of: + Wheel ends & tires + Electrical systems + Air brake systems & suspensions + Doors, floors, and structural components + Welding, cutting, patching, and locking devices + Maintain safety standards in all instruction and demonstrations + Advise and support students with academics and discipline + Collaborate with faculty and departments to continuously improve program delivery + Travel up to 50% of the workweek for training and instruction Key Requirements for an
Intermodal Mechanic Instructor:
+ 5+ years of hands-on experience with FMCSA and IICL inspections + Proven ability to troubleshoot, repair, and inspect intermodal equipment + High school diploma or GED + Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) + Ability to obtain a TWIC card + Strong communication and mentoring skills + Bilingual a plus! Preferred (but not required): + IICL or FMCSA certification + Welding certification + Refrigerant Handling license
Pay Range:
