Body Shop Estimator Upstate Automotive Group Greenwood, SC 29649 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Body Shop Dealership Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong automotive knowledge and exceptional customer service skills to effectively assess vehicle damage and provide accurate estimates for repairs. This role is crucial in ensuring customer satisfaction and facilitating smooth communication between clients and the body shop. Responsibilities Evaluate damaged vehicles and determine the necessary repairs while ensuring compliance with industry standards. Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for repairs, including labor, parts, and materials. Communicate effectively with customers to explain the estimation process, repair options, and timelines. Upsell additional services when appropriate, enhancing customer satisfaction and shop profitability. Maintain thorough documentation of all estimates and repair orders in the system. Collaborate with technicians to ensure clarity on repair needs and timelines. Provide exceptional customer service throughout the repair process, addressing any questions or concerns promptly. Stay updated on automotive service trends, repair techniques, and industry standards. Qualifications Proven experience in auto estimating or a related role within the automotive service industry. Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems and repair processes. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on building relationships with clients. Ability to perform service writing accurately and efficiently. Familiarity with upselling techniques in an automotive context is preferred. Knowledge of oil change procedures and general automotive repair practices is a plus. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure accurate estimates. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks.
