Job Title:

Vehicle Equipment Installer Job Description This is a long-term temporary position where the installer will be working at our customer’s site. The schedule is Monday to Friday from 7 am to 4 pm with optional overtime. The pay for this position is $21/hr with great benefits and overtime! Responsibilities Disassemble automotive trim and body panels, bumper covers, and reinstall them without damage. Perform factory-like installations of perimeter lighting, lightbars, siren controllers, and speakers. Read schematics, installation diagrams, and instructions. Perform quality installations of push bumpers, vehicle partitions, storage boxes, computer docking stations, and other police vehicle-related equipment. Understand DC voltage and install 12-volt DC powered equipment such as lighting, siren controllers, speakers, relays, controllers, computer equipment, and battery chargers. Understand DC electrical connections, connectors, and fabricate wire harnesses in a clean and professional manner. Preferred but not required knowledge of Radio Frequency (RF) test equipment including watt meters and connector types. Essential Skills Experience in installing electrical and communication systems. Ability to use power and hand tools such as impact drivers, sockets, wrenches, wire strippers, crimpers, and panel pullers. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams. Strong understanding of DC voltage and electrical connections. Additional Skills & Qualifications High school degree, GED, or equivalent. Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. Experience in electronics and/or electrical equipment for two or more years preferred. Ability to work in non-air-conditioned and/or outdoor environments. Self-motivating with the ability to represent the company professionally. Valid US driver’s license with a clean driving record for the past five years. Why Work Here? Work Environment This role involves standing and bending throughout the workday in a non-air-conditioned and/or outdoor environment. The dress code is casual and appropriate for the nature of the job. The installer will use various tools such as impact drivers, sockets, wrenches, wire strippers, crimpers, and panel pullers. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of TAMPA, Florida. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 – $21.00/hr.
