Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Fleet Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role involves performing inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of trucks and trailers to ensure they are in safe and efficient working conditions. The ideal candidate will have experience with truck and trailer systems, including brakes, suspension, electrical, and structuralponents.

Salary Range:

$21-$26/hr, based on experience

The Impact You’ll Make:

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on fleet trailers, including brakes, axles, suspensions, lights, and structuralponents. Light maintenance on trucks.
Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and ensurepliance with DOT regulations andpany safety standards.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical trailer issues efficiently.
Replace or repair tires, wheel hubs, landing gear, doors, and other trailerponents as needed.
Maintain accurate records electronically of work performed, parts used, and labor hours.
Ensure all work ispleted safely and efficiently in accordance withpany policies.
Operate hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment to perform repairs.
Communicate effectively with fleet managers, drivers, and team members regarding maintenance needs and repair status. Provide updates to key stakeholders daily.
Stay updated on industry standards, safety protocols, and emerging technologies related to fleet maintenance.

Qualifications & Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent (technical training is a plus).
Minimum three years of experience as a trailer mechanic or in a related field.
Knowledge of trailer braking systems, suspensions, and electrical wiring.
Experience with welding and fabrication is a plus.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
Current DOT certified inspector.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Valid driver’s license (CDL is a plus).
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and work in various weather conditions.
