Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Automotive Service Writer to join our team. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact between customers and the service department, responsible for coordinating service appointments, accurately documenting repair needs, and ensuring excellent customer experiences from drop-off to pick-up.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet customers and assist with service inquiries in person and over the phone Create accurate and detailed repair orders based on customer input and technician assessments Schedule service appointments and communicate timelines and updates to customers Coordinate with technicians to ensure timely completion of services and repairs Provide cost estimates and obtain approvals for services before work begins Maintain records of all services performed and parts ordered Answer questions regarding vehicle service history, warranties, and maintenance recommendations Ensure a clean and professional front desk area Communicate clearly with customers regarding service status, delays, or required additional work
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a customer service or automotive-related role preferred Strong communication and organizational skills Basic knowledge of automotive systems and terminology Proficient in using computers and point-of-sale/service tracking systems Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment High school diploma or equivalent required Valid driver’s license Why Join Us?
