Automotive Diagnostic Technician Auto Pro Tune Talladega, AL 35160 Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Automotive Diagnostic Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing a wide range of automotive issues, ensuring that vehicles operate efficiently and safely. You will utilize your mechanical knowledge and expertise in automotive systems to provide high-quality service to our customers. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics on vehicles to identify issues related to powertrain, electrical systems, and mechanical components. Utilize hand tools and diagnostic equipment to conduct repairs and maintenance on various vehicle types. Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to assess the condition of automotive systems and recommend necessary repairs or maintenance. Maintain accurate records of diagnostics, repairs, and services performed on each vehicle. Collaborate with other technicians and service advisors to ensure effective communication regarding vehicle status and repair needs. Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies, repair techniques, and industry standards. Provide exceptional customer service by explaining diagnostic findings and repair options clearly to clients. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with expertise in automotive service and vehicle maintenance. Proficiency in diagnosing automotive electrical systems and performing automotive diagnostics. Familiarity with powertrain components and diesel engine repair is a plus. Ability to effectively use hand tools and diagnostic equipment for accurate assessments. Experience in auto estimating to provide clients with clear cost assessments for repairs. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with customers and team members.
