Position Overview We’re looking for a dedicated Lead Mechanic to oversee our shop operations and manage the maintenance of our vehicle fleet and landscaping equipment. This is a hands-on leadership role suited for someone experienced in both team management and the technical repair of small engines—particularly mowers, weed eaters, and other power tools used in landscaping. Key Responsibilities
- Disassembly, repair, and reassembly of components and machines
- Maintain routine service and preventative maintenance on fleet vehicles
- Diagnose and repair a wide variety of small engine landscaping equipment (mowers, weed eaters, blowers, etc.)
- Keep a clean, organized, and safe shop environment
- Report any tools or equipment in poor or unsafe condition
- Take part in ongoing training programs
- Support and supervise other mechanics or shop assistants
- Work closely with operations to ensure equipment uptime and reliability Requirements
- Experience in small engine repair and maintenance
- Strong organizational and diagnostic skills
- Comfortable working outdoors in Florida weather conditions
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
