Trailer Technician Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled, reliable Trailer Service and Repair Technician to join our team. As a Trailer Technician, you will be responsible for the service, repair, maintenance, and assembly of trailers. We primarily service boat trailers but do offer service to all types of trailers. This is a hands-on position that requires strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and cleanliness.
Responsibilities:
- Perform electrical diagnostics and repairs on trailers
- Assemble and install various trailer components
- Maintain and align trailer suspensions, axles, and brakes
- Inspect trailers for safety and compliance with regulations
- Troubleshoot and repair trailer wiring and lighting systems
- Conduct heavy lifting as needed for trailer repairs
- Operate heavy equipment for trailer maintenance tasks and truck unloading
Skills:
- Proficient in electrical diagnostics and repairs
- Ability to assemble, maintain, and align trailer components
- Experience with heavy lifting and suspension work
- Knowledge of brake repair and maintenance
- Competent in operating heavy equipment for forklift operation
