Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electric Vehicle (EV) Technician with a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience working with electric vehicles. Candidates with experience servicing General Motors (GM) EVs will be given preference. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and passionate about advancing their career in the rapidly growing EV sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on electric vehicles, including battery systems, high-voltage components, charging systems, and EV drivetrains Conduct routine inspections, identify potential issues, and accurately document findings Interpret technical manuals and schematics related to EV systems Work with the latest diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot EV-specific problems Collaborate with team members and provide technical support as needed Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety standards and manufacturer guidelines Keep up to date with the latest EV technologies and participate in ongoing training Communicate effectively with customers regarding vehicle status, repair options, and maintenance recommendations
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience working as an EV technician or in a similar automotive technician role focused on electric vehicles Experience with GM electric vehicles (Chevrolet Bolt, GMC Hummer EV, Cadillac Lyriq, etc.) strongly preferred Certification from an accredited automotive/EV program is a plus Familiarity with high-voltage systems and safety protocols Proficient in using diagnostic equipment and repair software Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Valid driver’s license and clean driving record Excellent communication and teamwork skills
