TheSenior Technician performs vehicle repair and maintenance asassigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards and buildsCustomer loyalty by developing trust and ensuring confidence inAutoNation as a care-giver for their vehicle safety andreliability. What are the day-to-day responsibilities? Performingvehicle repair and/or maintenance work as outlined on repair orderwith efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership andfactory standards to drive Customer loyalty. Communicating withParts Department and Service Advisors regularly to effectivelymanage production and Customer communication. Diagnosing the causeof any malfunction and perform repair, if authorized by theCustomer. Conducting multi-point inspections to make appropriaterecommendations to ensure safety and reliability of Customervehicles. Documenting work performed on each vehicle on the repairorder. Maintaining an inventory of normal Technician’s tools notnormally inventoried by the Service department as “special tools.”Keeping abreast of factory technical bulletins and participating infactory-sponsored training classes as appropriate. Providing anexceptional customer experience to drive loyalty How will I know ifI am successful? The performance of a Senior Technician is measuredby achieving: Targeted production Targeted sales Targeted CustomerSatisfaction Index What are the requirements for this job HighSchool diploma or equivalent 2 years experience as an automotivetechnician Automotive technical training (varies based on storeneeds) Attention to detail Organization and follow-up skills Validin-state driver’s license and have and maintain an acceptable, safedriving record What are the opportunities for career growth?
