Mobile Automotive Body Technician 3.4 3.4 out of 5 stars Umatilla, FL 32784 Coppersmith, on behalf of our client in Umatilla, FL, is looking for a motivated Mobile Automotive Body Technician primarily focused on paint repairs with some prior experience in automotive refinishing or a related trade. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who may have limited hands-on experience—whether through previous jobs, apprenticeships, or personal projects—and are now ready to build on that foundation in a professional setting. You’ll join a well-established, family-owned automotive refinishing business known for its quality craftsmanship and commitment to customer satisfaction. Ideal candidates will have a basic understanding of vehicle prep and painting processes and a strong desire to grow within the industry. Key Responsibilities Assist in preparing vehicles for painting: cleaning, sanding, masking, and taping surfaces. Support the application of primers, base coats, and finishing coats using spray equipment. Maintain a tidy and organized work area both on-site and in mobile service units. Travel to customer locations throughout Central Florida and nearby areas to complete on-site refinishing. Follow all safety protocols and maintain a consistent standard of high-quality work. Requirements Some hands-on experience in auto painting, vehicle detailing, bodywork, or a related trade— formal training or entry-level job experience is sufficient. Willingness to learn and build on existing knowledge. Strong attention to detail and care for quality finishes. Ability to work independently and contribute to a mobile team. Willingness to travel locally; a valid driver’s license is preferred. Professional, punctual, and reliable. Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working outdoors in various conditions. Preferred But Not Essential Familiarity with masking and spray-painting techniques. Prior work in a mobile or field-based setting.
